Hello all! Thank you to everyone who tuned in for our latest episode this past Thursday. Our usual cast joined us last week, and there was lots of interesting discussion and great music to be had. We had an outstanding start to the year, made even better by a photoshoot by photographer Adrian Gutierrez (thanks Adrian!). He took some great pictures during the show that you can check out above, if you want to see what we’re up to. Included in this week’s episode are topics such as:

  • Stephen Colbert running for President?
  • Student Government and Spring Semester Events!
  • Coachella 2011 lineup announced.
  • Concordia’s Pita-palooza (Middle Eastern Week)

In addition, we had a great lineup of music on tap. Here’s links to the songs you’ll be hearing in this week’s episode (in order):

Hope you enjoyed this week’s broadcast! As always, tune in right here at 9PM on Thursdays for our live show. If you have any song requests, by all means let us know through the link on the right side of this page. Enjoy!

A Christmas Update

As always, my apologies to all for the lack of postings on the site lately! Life has been seriously crazy in recent weeks - finals week, a new job, travel, and plenty more school-related things have been taking up my time lately. Thankfully, I can now catch the world (aka, whoever reads this website) up on what I’ve been up to these past few months!

To start things off, school has been defining my schedule for the past couple of months. Hours of studying are common on most days, and it’s not unusual to pull multiple 14-hour plus days during the week. Finals are finally over, but I have to say, I’ve greatly enjoyed this semester. All of my courses were interesting (with the exception of math), and I learned a lot. I am very much looking forward to next semester, as well. With a schedule consisting of Business Law, Principles of Management, Kinesiology, Tropical Biology, Applied Calculus, and World Classicism, it’s sure to be an exciting (and full) semester.

In other news, I’ve been staying busy at school, continuing my involvement with both The Executives (Concordia’s business club), and Not.fm (an internet radio show I do once a week). Both activities are weekly events with a good bit of preparation involved, so I have been dedicating a lot of time to those two ventures. In addition, I have been reading a lot - there are too many titles to list here, actually - but I am saving some of my mini book reviews for a future post. At the moment, I’m up in Minnesota spending Christmas with the family. I love it more and more every time I come up here. The combination of cold weather, beautiful scenery, and things to do is hard to beat…and I’m technically “on vacation”, so I’m going to step away from the computer for a little bit now. As always though, I’m going to make an effort to post more from here on out (New Year’s Resolutions anyone?). Until next time…Merry Christmas! Make it a great one.

This is pretty much how I feel right now. Actually, that’s how I’ve felt the past few weeks, really…BUT!…all of that is about to change this week. Due to a perfect intersection of timing and opportunity, I’ve managed to get another job - this time, an office job - which means office hours and more sleep. Yeah, I’m up to juggling 4 jobs at this point, but that’s not that big of a deal honestly. The bank account’s healthy, and so am I. All kidding aside, it has been a pretty good start to this semester so far. School has been stressful, but then again, what college student isn’t right now? I think that’s just part of the deal; it’s all a process. I have been staying pretty involved also, serving as vice-president for The Executives, the business club I helped start up last year at Concordia. In addition, I’ve been producing and co-hosting an internet radio show on-campus called Not.fm. We talk about current events, music, and pop culture - it’s pretty interesting, actually! If you’d like to check it out, take a look around our website or take a look at our most recent episode. If you’ve got any suggestions (or music requests), shoot me a message! We broadcast every Thursday night at 9pm CST, and upload a stream and recap of the episode the day following. Hope you can tune in! Other than that, I’ve just been working a lot (nothing new there), and working on school. It’s that season…well, this is about all I have for now. I just wanted to update all that check this site on what I’ve been up to lately. I’m going to try and post on here more frequently, so keep your eyes (and ears) peeled!

Hope you’re all having a great weekend! For Sunday’s song of the day, we’re bringing you one of the singles off of B.o.B’s breakout album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which was released earlier this summer. This airy track, “Don’t Let Me Fall”, sums up the blissful attitude towards summer just perfectly - and with fall right around the corner, we figured this snapshot into our summer was only appropriate. Enjoy!
