what can brown do for you?

Well, got some good news in the mail today! I got a package from Abilene Christian University this week letting me know that I’m a finalist for their Presidential Scholarship! This consists of either a half-tuition or full-ride scholarship, either of which would obviously be a great help to paying for college. As a result, I was invited to come up to the university campus in Abilene and interview for the said awards. I will know whether I “made the cut”, so to speak, later in the month. Only a couple of each award are given out so I don’t think I have a great chance of being awarded the scholarship, but who knows what could happen, right? On February 9 I will be going up there and interviewing, and also taking a tour of the campus and doing some other exciting things. While I’m there I’ll be sure to take some pictures to share the experience with you, so be looking out for those in the next couple weeks. I am waiting on the results of a few other scholarship opportunities so I’m kind of on pins and needles about that right now. We should be hearing a response in the next couple weeks, so of course I’ll let you know what happens. As always, comments are much appreciated (just click the post title).
